I am really loving pre-wedding portraits, a relatively new thing for me this year but a great way to get to know my couples and for them to get a feel for my enthusiastic and some what unconventional photography techniques!
I met with Jake and Sam at Cann Woods in Plymouth, woodland that I loved running in when I used to live there. When I left Barnstaple it was blowing a hoolie and I was really worried about how the shoot would go but as I drove past Exeter the sun broke through and I was greeted by the most stunning light, I had everything crossed that it would still be beautiful when I arrived. The quality of light is everything to me as it can transform a shoot, in the winter it can be particularly special so when the sun shines I get a bit giddy.
Jake and Sam were lovely to work with, easy and relaxed about being photographed and very good looking to boot. It was such a pleasure to spend the time with them and I look forward to their New Year’s eve wedding.

What beautiful pictures, Becca :)
Thank you Mrs Barnett :) it was such a lovely way to spend a morning. I love the bracken at this time of year, that deep bronze colour is stunning against the sky – I know you will understand as a fellow lover of nature.
Wowee! The ever fantastic Becca gets marvellous shots again! They are such natural photos and the couple come across as really warm and friendly! They are really lucky to have you covering their wedding Becca! I wish I had known you in 1999 to cover mine! x
How on earth are we supposed to choose just one of these photos!!
They are all so good!
Thank-you so much, we cant wait to see you again on New Years eve..
Thanks Rebecca, as Sams mum I was interested to see the photos . They are great, I can’t wait to see the wedding shots. Hope the light is just as good.
