Wow! What a venue Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe is. If you have dreamed of a wedding in some far flung exotic location you might just have found your dream venue here in the UK. Tunnels Beaches comprises of a network of hand carved tunnels that lead to secluded beaches and the most impressive function room that is tucked into the cliff face. Wedding ceremonies take place in a beautiful thatched gazebo that overlooks the sea.
Not only is Tunnels Beaches breathtaking but weddings at Tunnels always carry a very relaxed feel. The pace of the day is dictated by the wedding couple with plenty of time after the ceremony for guests to sit back with a glass of something cold and enjoy the views. Sometimes couples put out a basket of flip-flops for friends to take a walk down to the private beach, I’ve also seen little fishing nets for small people to go searching for crabs in the rock pools.
For the photographer Tunnels Beaches is literally overflowing with photo opportunities. Once the bride and groom are married and have had a chance to catch up with guests then a short walk down to the connecting beach is all that is required to capture some truly stunning images. Later in the evening I always like invite the Bride and Groom back to the beach to capture some images with gorgeous sunset. Having photographed many weddings at Tunnels Beaches in all weathers and seasons I can honestly say that come rain or shine Tunnels Beaches is always a magnificent location to marry.

Wow! What a wedding this was. I was over the moon to be the wedding photographer for Hayley and Nick for their wedding at Tunnels Beaches. I met the couple about a year before their wedding and I remember being excited by the plans they had to keep the wedding very relaxed and informal. It […]
This was my first Civil Partnership at Tunnels Beaches and I have to say I absolutely loved it. I’d not met Roxy or Riley before the wedding but I could tell in the emails I shared with Roxy that they were a lovely couple and I was excited about working with them. I started with […]
