Muddifords Court in Devon was the beautiful setting for my first big wedding of 2017. It’s been a while since my last post, 6 months in fact. After a busy winter of elopement weddings I was initially a little apprehensive to cover a wedding with 90 guests but I soon got in the groove again! Barbara and Dom had booked me for a half day of cover so I knew I needed to be prompt with the formal family photo’s and strike the right balance with plenty of natural photo’s too. I made sure I arrived in plenty of time so I could wander the stunning grounds of Muddifords Court first and get some lovely location shots to start the gallery of images with.
Barbara and Dom have a daughter who I wanted to ensure was very much a part of the photographs as it was clear they adore her. As you can probably see from other blog posts I love weddings where children are a big part of the day. For the end of March the weather was fabulous, and warm enough for the drinks reception to take place in front of the house. I was excited to use the lake as a backdrop to the couple shots and areas we had scoped out at our pre-wedding meet up. Whilst guests left to be seated for the wedding meal we took a walk with Adriana – who was in a very playful mood – to get some natural family photos first. With the light being so pretty, blue skies and Barbara such a beautiful bride I was in my element.
Barbara and Dom thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer and I wish you both every happiness in your married life together. Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
